Miami said “Hello!” on November 17th at the Belgian bakery-restaurant Le Pain Quotidien, 3425 Main Hwy. in Coconut Grove, Florida’s premier location for the international restaurant group.
Le Pain Quotidien, which means “daily bread” in French, offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, offering a simple, healthy and seasonal menu to neighborhood residents.
The concept of Pain Quotidien has remained essentially unchanged since its founder, Alain Coumont, opened his first bakery in Brussels in 1990.
The bakery-restaurant prides itself on serving simple, nutritious and delicious cuisine in a setting that provides a respite from the busy urban lifestyle. Rustic interiors and traditional dishes transport guests to the Belgian countryside and a simpler way of life.

Filled with natural light through its high two-story ceilings and 30 windows, the 4,000 square foot restaurant can accommodate over 100 people indoors and 24 on its outdoor patio. The unique layout includes two of Pain Quotidien’s iconic communal tables – one on each floor – made from reclaimed wood.
From the start, a common table has been the centerpiece of every Le Pain Quotidien. Designed to bring together friends, family and even strangers, the common table represents Le Pain Quotidien’s commitment to fostering community ties.
The Coconut Grove location also includes an open kitchen upstairs, a fully equipped downstairs bakery where 100% organic breads and artisanal pastries are baked daily on site, bespoke leather seats, original glass bricks, two large skylights and a turquoise staircase featuring hand-made steps and a curved glass banister. Neighborhood-inspired decor and artwork, including coconuts and peacocks, also contribute to the location’s individual style.
Delicious and varied food means bakery mornings start with breakfast and brunch offerings such as organic handmade breads, artisan pastries and organic eggs, in addition to a range of products from bakery, yogurt, coffee and organic teas. Other unique and healthy selections include the Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl, Key Lime Chia Perfect, Avocado Toast, Sunny Side Breakfast Bowl, and Fresh Smoothies.
Miami residents are already familiar with Le Pain Quotidien’s iconic open-face sandwiches called tartines, made from their organic whole-wheat sourdough bread. Toast join other tasty options such as savory soups, salads and quiches. In the evening, guests can linger over a glass of organic wine or beer and can find plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options on the menu in addition to Miami-exclusive hot dishes including salmon. roasted wild and chicken ratatouille.
The Coconut Grove location also offers a range of catering and event services to suit all tastes and occasions.
