The Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department Enforcement Team on Monday recovered a fine of Rs 10400.00 from 07 wandering traders, in addition, 04 sheep and 01 bakery were also sealed on place for breach of the Essential Commodities Act 1955 .
The action against errant traders took place during a market verification campaign conducted under the chairmanship of the Deputy Director (Enforcement) in various wards of Srinagar city including Bemina Bypass, Tengpora, Peerbagh, Hyderpora, Habak, Zakura, Hazratbal, etc.
During the market verification, 71 commercial establishments were inspected and a penal sum was recovered from the strays in addition to sealing a few stores.
Additionally, the stray lot was reprimanded to remain cautious in the future.
