Global bakery supplier signs industrial space and warehouse in Coventry


Guenther Bakeries UK is expanding its UK operations after signing a lease with Goodman for 106,000 square feet of warehouse space in Lyons Park, Coventry.

The company is part of CH Guenther & Son (CHG) Inc., headquartered in Texas, an international supplier of baked goods to restaurants and food retailers that employs more than 4,000 people at 29 locations in Europe, the United States. United States and Canada.

The Lyons 106 plant is the division’s fourth UK site and the first in the Midlands.

Expected to be fully operational in the first half of 2023, it will help Guenther Bakeries fulfill a contract to supply baked goods to well-known global brands, creating up to 100 jobs.

Construction is expected to wrap up later this month.

Coventry is an established industrial, logistics and manufacturing hub, offering a large talent pool of 25,000 people employed in manufacturing, transport and storage.

Guenther Bakeries joins a number of leading businesses operating out of Lyons Park, including Amazon and Jaguar Land Rover.
